Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
The community is warmly invited to The Lutheran Church of Arcata’s Oktoberfest German Dinner on Saturday, October 27th. The authentic German menu showcases Sauerbraten beef roasts marinated in wine-vinegar-spice brine; gingersnap gravy, homemade Spatzle, sweet & sour red cabbage, green salad, and garden-fresh bacon-pear green beans. Accompanying this meal will be freshly baked German breads from Beck's Bakery. Desserts will not disappoint: Black Forest Cake and sundry other German pastries all scratch-made. German beers and wines will also be available. Live accordion music completes the festive Old World atmosphere. Call to reserve your 3, 4:30, or 6 pm seating time.
