North Group Sierra Club Hike

The North Group Sierra Club invites the public to a hike in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park's Miner's Ridge Loop hike on Wednesday, August 10. Carpools meet at 9:00 a.m.at the Ray's Valley West parking area or 9:45 a.m. at the trailhead at the Elk Meadow day use parking area off Highway 101 (exit Davison Rd.) This moderately difficult, 7 mile hike will start from Miners Ridge Trailhead off Beach Road and gradually ascend through coastal rain forest into hillside redwoods. In 2 miles the Clintonia Trail connects north to the James Irvine Trail and Fern Canyon. A mile south on the Coastal Trail closes the loop. Bring lunch, liquids, gear for wet woods, sun, wind.
