The All Species Parade, led by the Arcata Playhouse's large and small creature creations and other walk-in species, marched around the Arcata Plaza twice to help celebrate Sunday's North Country Fair. The parade was started by Tim McKay, long-time director of the North Coast Environmental Center.

The 43rd annual North Country Fair kept its record intact of having lots of tie-dye clothing for sale in Arcata on Sunday.

"Tiny signs" to celebrate free speech were offered to attendees at the North Country Fair by Marcy Brustiner (left) and Andrea Juarez at the Humboldt Center for Constitutional Rights information table. People were invited to write down what was on their minds on the mini-signs.
