The locally famous, animal educator, Nature Joe, will
be hosting Nature Camp this summer for young school aged naturalists and animal lovers. The
Nature Camp will have six one week sessions of day camp beginning on July 2 and going until
August 10 at the new Nature School at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds with themes including
Animals, Nature Art, Native Plants, Gardening and Cooking, Nature Theatre, and Nature
School.
Each week campers will have the hands-on educational opportunity to participate in animal
encounters, discovery hikes, nature games, and creative projects taught by fellow nature nuts.
Camp will run from Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm with half-day options available from
9am -1pm or 1pm-5pm. Camp tuition is $200/wk full day or $125/wk for half-day options. Camp
