Celebrate National Trails Day by joining the volunteer Trail Stewards Work Day. Working two locations on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 9 am. Trail building on the Arcata Ridge Trail and clearing vegetation on the Hammond Trail.
Hammond volunteers meet at the west end of Murray Road for pruning, trimming, and mowing and work until 11 am.
Arcata Community Forest volunteers meet at the Margaret Street entrance to the Ridge Trail in upper Sunnybrae. This site involves more strenuous work. Work will continue until as late as 1 pm.
