Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Momentary Monuments: Theatre of the Oppressed Playshop

When: Sat., Dec. 9, 2-5 p.m. 2017
Phone: 210-364-7024
Email: ruthiengelke@gmail.com
Price: $10 suggested donation
People create monuments with a purpose and an agenda, and inevitably each will disappear, marking changes in us as individuals, societies and nations. Theatre of the Oppressed is built on games and techniques that make theatrical monuments (called "images") out of living actors. In this workshop, everyone will play both sculptor and sculpture as we make and remake the monuments we see—and would like to see—in this very moment. Ruthi Engelke is a Theatre of the Oppressed Joker (facillitator/difiicultator) and co-President of Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed, Inc.
