I did leave Humboldt, because I no longer felt like continuing the fight against all the potheads. The denigration against Hoover is just another example of how the pot culture in Humboldt is able to turn anyone's life upside down. More power to the Eye if it can continue to fight against the transformation of Humboldt into a backwoods sewer of California. As for the Eye "painting" all growers as "greedy, careless, and shameless"... well, that sounds like accurate reporting to me. As for folks "Simply making a living"... at whose expense?
