Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

We will hold a memorial service at dusk for the 181 whales found dead along the Pacific coast this year, including 37 found in California, the hundreds of dolphins washing up dead on the Gulf Coast, the thousand dolphins found mutilated in France, and the increasing numbers of marine life impacted by plastic. Many hearts are breaking open as we witness these losses. Our intention is simply to offer an opportunity for people to gather together and share our grief and sense of loss at what’s happening with the whales and many other of our more-than-human family and habitats.
