Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Memorial for People Killed by Cars

When: Fri., Aug. 27, 5:30-7 p.m. 2021
Price: Free
A gathering for friends and families to remember those who have been killed by cars while walking, biking or rolling in Humboldt County, and for community members to acknowledge and honor the losses. Masks and 6 ft. social distancing will be required at this event. Too often, the lives of people killed on our streets are minimized or ignored, or the victims blamed for their own deaths. At this event, we will read the names of those killed and hold space for friends and family members to speak about their lost loved ones if they wish.
