The Diva of Sativa, Mary Jane, and her ‘Emerald Triangle’ entourage light it up at the Cannabis Film Festival with Dell’Arte International’s highest-grossing live show Mary Jane: The Musical III May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Redwood Playhouse. Mary Jane: The Musical III will also be headlining Dell’Arte’s 25th annual summer Mad River Festival this year with an exciting twist; In partnership with Emmy-nominated film maker John Howarth, Dell’Arte is transforming ‘MJM’ into a film or ‘musical potumentary’, combining the live show with footage of real-life issues facing Humboldt Country and it’s residents. The musical documentary will feature 15 original songs, composed and performed by professional actors and musicians who live in the communities of Humboldt County’s ‘Emerald Triangle’. Come check out the live event during the Cannabis Film Festival, meet the cast and learn more about the project. The 2015 CFF, running May 1-3 in Garberville, CA, will feature films intended to raise consciousness regarding the many uses, applications and issues surrounding the expanding cannabis industry.
