Have lived in Humboldt 45 years and never knew of this place. I applaud those living the wild west style as not everyone could do so. I don't care if they are making a living illegally or legally as long as they are not hurting anyone. It can't be easy. I do however have a problem that our tax dollars are being used for a boat service for a handful of people when so many important programs in the county are being cut. If you chose to live there then you should do so knowing you would have to take care of yourself and not rely on the county.
