Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Mal Coombs Tide Pool Hike with Taylor Faye Benedict Online

When: Sat., June 18, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. 2022
Experience our local tide pools on Saturday, June 18 as Friends of the Lost Coast invite all to Mal Coombs Park in Shelter Cove. The hike leaves Mal Coombs Park at 9a.m. and will lead participants down the boat ramp and along the shore of Point Delgada to reach the tide pools during an especially low tide. Participants will then explore the pools and learn more about intertidal zones and the creatures that call them home with environmental educator, Taylor Faye Benedict. This hike is along rocky coastline with uneven terrain. Email to RSVP or more information.
