10 pages on a guy toiling in the minor leagues? Wow. The article makes it sound like he's from Humboldt County, but Pill is not. He played ball here (for the Humboldt Crabs) for less than 3 months. Why doesn't the Journal do a story on John Jaso (Seattle Mariners)? He's a McKinleyville High grad who is a major leaguer. The Times-Standard has written tons about Jaso and skipped over this Pill guy. Now I know why.
