Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Eureka artist Lorna Brown has been a graphic designer and illustrator for 35 years. She also plays accordian with SqueezeBug and teaches "Yoga for Stiff People" at the Adorni Center in Eureka. She is "a squeezer and a painter. Sometimes she squeezes tubes of paint. Sometimes she paints accordions. Is she confused? Yes. Is she happy? Yes." Holly Sweet calls her art genre Deep Cute! Her work is often craft, and almost always useful. "Useful objects that have humor and joy jump out of me. The pieces often tell a story or have a story."
