Italy. It is almost election time and the country's biggest opposition party is not doing well. The leader Enrico Oliveri falls into a depression because the polls are not in his favor and then he suddenly disappears without a trace. Concerned about a scandal, the party leadership wants to keep the news underwraps and they decide to use the politician's look-alike brother to fill the gap. The only problem is that while Giovanni Ernani is the spitting image of his sibling, he is diametrically opposed in character. Thanks to his open-minded approach and forthright expression, the party starts to win popular support.
