Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
This documentary recounts the events of Oct. 30, 2012 when Humboldt surfer Scott Stephens was attacked by a great white shark. It is the story of the surfers who were there that day and how their quick thinking, action and collaboration saved Stephens’ life.
Local film producers Jennifer Bell, Ted Okell, Michael McClimon, Robert Stoneman and surfer Scott Stephens will be available for Q&A at end of screening.
Event is hosted by Access Humboldt and the Humboldt Film Commission.
