Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
The joy, kindness, and love behind Santa Claus will be examined at Lifetree Café on
Sunday, December 20 at 7 p.m.
The program, titled “The Spirit of Santa: The Legend, the Love, the Lowdown,” features a
filmed interview with Mark and Teresa McGraw, a couple who professionally play the
roles of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
During the interview, the McGraws explain that they don the costumes and personalities
as a way to bring joy to those around them, particularly kids.

“We both just love children so much,” says Teresa. “We reach out to them because we
know that not all children out there are loved. Not all of them get gifts or have homes. If
we can just be a sparkle in their Christmas, that’s great.”
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Campbell Creek
Connexion on the corner of Union and 13th St., Arcata.
