The people fighting restoration of rail service are not simply NIMBYs, but are rather closet Luddites, wanting to erase the NWP from the map, and using any tactic at hand to do so. Their logic is as flawed as the old quote from a US Army officer in Viet Nam, "We had to destroy the village in order to save it."
