Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Dr. Jesús De Loera, professor at UC Davis, discusses his research in computational geometry. Polyhedra turn out to be widely used in applied mathematics, but very few know of the many easy-to-state but difficult-to-solve mathematical problems that hide behind their beauty. No prior knowledge beyond elementary geometry will be assumed. Please visit the event URL for detailed information. Cal Poly Humboldt asks all visitors to campus to wear masks at all times due to Covid-19 and present a vaccination card if requested by staff. See https://campusready.humboldt.edu/ for further details.
