I have only lived in Happy Camp for a few years. The town is sad, is a sesspool of hatred and anger. It isn't because of the "outsiders" it is because of the town. There is nothing for anybody, the children are not looked after, the town is not looked after. People are so busy trying to stop anyone from accomplishing anything that it is devastating. The politics of the town, and the personal feelings of the people in the town get in the way of the towns success. All too often people are so busy wondering what each other are doing, and wanting each other to fail that we are not lifting each other up. Hooray for Bob and Trista, if a protester can hold up a sign, a store owner can too. Are my rights violated? Hell no, I can look the other way if I don't like what I am reading, just as I can for the guy that wants to sell his tires, or the woman that wants to clean my house. I have not lost any rights here, if Chuck and Rachel feel that they have then they have voluntarily given them up. Neither one of those people are true to the heart beat and the blood that runs through this town. They are just one more set of people who to sit around their kitchen table and bitch about what everyone else is doing, rather than try to band together and make this town a better place.
