Re: “A Brief Consumer's Guide to Legal Weed

So...the nearly 25% tax, the heavily punitive growing regulations, the high rate of contanimated samples that will ensure farmers lose much of their crop...what have we done but ensure another few years of illegal grows until the Feds legalize and the factory farms take over production just like tobacco. You'd have to be crazy to play by the rules! You can walk down the street with an ounce for sale and not be hassled now, and no one is gonna pay the state 25% when their bro has got it for half price.

Re: “Grow Local, Grow Natives

While I applaud grow local, grow native, I find the eurohate a little ridiculous. I learned in my Environmental Science Class At CR many years ago that every culture impacted their environment to the degree that their technology allowed. Native Americans practiced slash and burn, traded seeds, grew non-native plants, herded buffalo over cliffs.....

Re: “Playing Hardball

This bit of news is blatant proof that this is about money for public schools and not education for children. Public schools have become hellholes, and parents who care enough about their kids to pull them out will be forced to bring them back to public--failing--schools. Vouchers and school choice can't come soon enough. My last two children haven't seen a public school since the fourth grade, and both attend the local junior college for a large portion of their high school credits, killing two birds with one stone. Well educated, well socialized, and spared the trauma of public high school--that's a WIN!

Re: “Under the Color of Authority

It would be nice if this kid got half of this criminal cop's PERs for the rest of his life. This behavior won't stop til the cost comes out of the cops's own pocket. These awards need to come from the retirement fund. I hope the kid gets a good lawyer and sue in federal court.

Re: “'I Remain Unbroken'

The unbridled, carbon sucking chaos that comprised the pink hatter's protests...That IS what democracy looks like. It is precisely WHY we are governed by a republic--to keep the vast geographic majority of this country from being overrun by the population of a half dozen states. Liberals lost--hang on to your socks here--THE POPULAR vote by a wide margin. Republicans and Libertarians cast more votes than Greens and Democrats. While free-speech hating libs in Berkely burn down tax funded campuses (Yuuuuuuuuge carbon footprint), the rest of us will get back to work.

Re: “Seeking Settlement

The county is like a four-year-old... "respectfully disagreeing" by not commenting on their appalling mistreatment of this couple? More like giving their parents first a tantrum followed by the silent treatment. Money is due--too bad a portion of ms. Angus's pension can't be tapped.

Re: “There Will Be Trolls

The people who edit trolls are probably the very same people who would consider any comment made by the entire voting block of Trump a troll. Roughly HALF of the US population vituperitvely dissagree with each other. Shutting down the voice of half the population because the left leaning media doesn't like it is only going to leave more surprises to unravel. Gird up your loins (pull up your big girl panties) and quit getting feelings hurt! Bring on the comments!
