The Jimmy D Jazz Quartet, a special jazz ensemble, returns to Cecil's New Orleans Bistro in Garberville on Saturday, July 14. This always engaging group features some of the county's top musicians, including Jimmy Durchslag on trombone, Michael Curran on drums, Tim Randles on piano and Danny Gaon on bass. All of them have played together in bands such as Ponche, Latin Peppers, Humboldt Time and more. Ruby Guillette, a talented young singer,, will join the band for a few tunes. The group plays lots of jazz favorites and upbeat tunes. Music starts at 7:30.
