Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Join retired HSU Biology Professor and teacher extraordinaire, Dr. John DeMartini, for an early morning low tide lesson in the intertidal habitats of Humboldt Bay. The emphasis will be on intertidal invertebrates of the sandy mudflat habitats near the Samoa County Boat Launch County Park. Gaper clams, sea anemones, shorebirds and more await you in this magical environment. Please wear boots or shoes that can get wet, and bring a fishing license if you have one. Access to this intertidal zone requires climbing over rip rap boulders. RSVP required.
