Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Interpretace: 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation

When: Fri., Nov. 22, 8 p.m. 2019
SoHum musician, writer and filmmaker John Hardin will bring a feast of multi-media entertainment to Outer Space in Arcata on Friday, November 22. The smorgasbord features the world premier of Hardin’s new movie: Interpretace: 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation, a musical documentary about Czechoslovakia’s seminal Industrial/Noise band: Interpretace, in celebration of 40 years of original, collaborative and brutally honest music. After the movie, Hardin will perform a live set of his own, very original, electrified didgeridoo-driven dance music with an accompaniment of mind-bending psychedelic video images he created. The entertainment will begin at 8pm, with a few short music videos highlighting some of Hardin’s other music, that he makes with recycled materials, circuit-bent toys, and found objects.
