With his back already covered with art, "Gucci" of Salinas stopped by the Black Swan Collective of Ventura on Friday to get lettering filled in done by Bryan Lavish. On Sunday, Gucci won the Best Back award for a second year in a row.

Here for the first time as a guest artist at Inked Hearts, Liz Venom, of Melbourne, Australia, said she specializies in floral, animal and nature-based tattoos. She was encouraged to sign up by Tara Cooper from the local Ohana Organics company at an event in Australia.

As they prepared to take a break on Saturday, Casey Sheehan of Irish Ink Tattoo in Grants Pass, Oregon placed a protective cover over his hummingbird tattoo on Hannah Lemly, of Arcata. Lemly said she chose the original design by Sheehan because it reminded her of her mother's interest in hummingbirds.

Megan Franklin, of Springfield, Missouri, chose to get this image of Meeko, her miniature Australian cattle dog, added to her thigh by Liz Cook of Rebel Muse Tattoo in Dallas – and on Sunday, it won the Best of Show award while still in progress. Anthony Crisanti,of Laytonville, won the Best Leg Award for his tattoo done by Eye of the Tiger in San Francisco. The Best of the Day Award for Sunday was won by Brian Haas, of Houston for work also done by Cook of Rebel Muse Tattoo.
