Spinning Cotton with a Charka and a Spinning Wheel with Paula Flannery. Learn to make your own cotton yarn. Cotton is a short staple fiber with a reputation for being challenging to spin. Paula Flannery will make it easy with demos and tips. Learn about spinning on the charka, a small book-sized device developed by Mahatma Ghandi. Cotton can be spun on a regular spinning wheel as well, so bring your wheel along. Paula will provide all the fiber and instruction.
