Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Humboldt County's Ocean Day

When: Thu., June 1, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 2017
Price: Free
A worldwide event, Kids Ocean Day is an annual ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future. During Kids Ocean Day, ~1,000 Humboldt County students will be visiting the coast for a day of beach cleanup and ecosystem restoration. After working hard to protect the health of our coast & ocean, students, teachers, and volunteers will sit in an aerial art design while a plane flies over to capture the image. This year’s message is “Come Together,” reminding us that we all need to work together to protect our coasts. Please visit for more information.
