Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

How Does Prayer Work?

When: Tue., July 21, 7 p.m. 2015
Price: Free
The impact of prayer on people’s everyday lives will be explored at Lifetree Café on Sunday, July 21 at 7 p.m. The program, titled “How Does Prayer Work? Exploring the Mystery of Connecting With God,” features filmed interviews with Nathan Matz and Tosha Williams, two people who pray daily, but in very different ways. “I originally thought prayer was about pleading to God like he was a genie in a bottle,” says Matz. “Prayer to me now is about trust. When I pray, sometimes I’m crying, sometimes I’m laughing, sometimes I’m screaming, and sometimes I’m angry. When I pray, I find God continuously pushing me into deeper waters.” Snacks and beverages are available.
