Mitch, twice here you have misread the story and misquoted it. I did not write "not-a-cult" -- those are your words. And, there was no "chuckling over" the faked-death story -- that also appears to be your interpretation..
Yes, it does: "Two and a half hours after Stockett’s arrest last Wednesday,a park handyman got the well in the field switched back on. At 10:30 p.m., Stockett posted his $25,000 bail, according to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Wagner. He’s set to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 2 on charges of grand theft fraud (for charging rent but not providing the water or garbage removal included in it), elder abuse and committing a felony while out on bail on another felony (the January lewdness charge)."
Thanks for the info. Interesting! But even so, W.R.'s tongue hung out noticeably more than any other horse's there that I saw. In fact, I didn't see other tongue-hangers. And the trainer was trying to stuff it back in his mouth. I mention all of this not in judgement, but in wonder.
Oh no no no no -- I'm sorry, AG, that my comment confused you. I merely was pretending to be miffed that they dared to find a nice pier north of us, and that we weren't the best in the north. Silliness. I'm sorry my lame attempt at flip sarcasm fell so thunkily.
I love Trinidad pier and take nothing around me for granted, you can be sure of that.
Chuck, they say they don't want it back.
