Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Halloween Parade

When: Sat., Oct. 31, 11 a.m. 2015
Children are invited to visit the McKinleyville Shopping Center for a safe and entertaining trick-or-treating experience. This free community event is open to all children, and there will be lots of free candy and Halloween treats given out by the merchants. Children should meet by the small kiosk in the parking lot at the Shopping Center before 11 a.m. to join in the fun, as we start the parade at 11 a.m. for all participants. Volunteer SCOP officers will be on hand to manage traffic and provide a safe environment for the trick or treat participants. SCOP is currently looking for more volunteers for their important community service program. For more information about volunteering, contact SCOP at (707) 268-2536. For more information about the Halloween Costume Parade, contact Taffy Stockton at (707) 834-6460.
