I admit, I eagerly picked up The Journal today...I am playing 3 gigs this weekend. On Friday, as usual, I play in an outstanding jazz quartet at Carmella's in Mck.; Sat., it's a private grad party...but the gig I was hoping to see noted is the one that features me at the Morris Graves Jazz Jam on Sunday the 15th. We are called Blue Lotus Jazz. We made over 10k in gigs last year. We are local. We are excellent, hard working musicians. My partner Dave is probably the most skilled guitar player in Humboldt, and I like to think that I'm not too far behind him. We do it for love and it's born of a passion for our art... However, at least a mention of my upcoming performance would have meant alot to me.
