Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Meet Redwood Region Audubon Society field trip leader Drew Meyer at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake). Shorebirds such as godwits, curlews, dowitchers, willets and other sandpipers are enroute to their breeding grounds. The breeding season will also be in full swing for many terrestrial species including warblers, hummingbirds, and chickadees, so it’s a great time to observe fascinating behaviors such as territorial disputes between neighbors, mating and courtship activities, as well as nest building activities. Bring your binoculars and plan on walking about two miles. Please let us know you plan to attend. Contact Ralph Bucher.
