Green Burial in Humboldt County: Options and Aspirations

When: Sat., July 11, 1:30-3 p.m. 2020
Have you ever considered green burial? With a green burial, the body is simply placed in a biodegradable coffin or shroud and buried. The goal is complete decomposition and the grave site is allowed to return to nature. Have you been wondering what your options are for a green burial in Humboldt County? The Funeral Consumer Alliance of Humboldt invites you to join us on Saturday, July 11 for a virtual live presentation on the internet and learn more. This presentation is free. Green burial follows simplicity, offers a lower cost, conserves natural resources, eliminates hazardous chemicals, and preserves natural areas. Love of nature and a desire for “eternal rest” in a forever-wild meadow or forest are reasons for choosing green burial. Our speaker Michael J Furniss is a local expert on green burial.
