To me the point of decriminalization of pot is to let the police and courts deal with real crime and to relive the suffering of illnesses and disorders. Who intended it to become a factory farm for vegetation? One plant in your kitchen will stone and/or pacify a family for life.
I apologize for any distress my comment brings to the residents of Humboldt County. I am an outsider and should probably just shut up. Good luck.

This is a most interesting and sad story. Everyone who has an interest in their community anywhere should read it. I wish legal marijuana was just as simple as keeping a couple plants in your yard or kitchen without sales and taxes and use of precious land.
