The Shorebird Loop Trail and Visitor Center will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Enjoy a walk along the trail in the evening hours and a presentation entitled "Nest in Peace" with Joyce Melin. Beginning at 6 p.m. view a display of eastern U.S. bird nests. Birds use a variety of ordinary materials to make extraordinary cradles for their young. At 7 p.m., the presentation will demonstrate the energy and dedication it takes to raise a brood, the challenges birds face, and how we can help them nest in peace.
