Pete Haggard will present on “Coastal Spring Flowers and Pollinators” on Friday, May 19. This free public lecture, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center, is sponsored by Friends of the Arcata Marsh. The speaker earned a BS in wildlife management and has worked as an agricultural inspector on California for more than 30 years. Pete has collected, photographed, and identified thousands of insects. Along with his wife Judy, he authored Insects of the Pacific Northwest, a Timber Press Field Guide. He created and maintains a native plant garden near Arcata HealthSport.
