Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Flow 2013 Members Pick

When: Sat., May 25, 8 p.m. 2013
Flow 2013, the premier fashion event of the year for Humboldt County. takes place Saturday, May 25, 8 p.m., at the Arcata Theatre Lounge. This unique event is the culminating showcase for students in the AAI Fashion Design program. The program provides young designers the opportunity to design and create original clothing designs.

Sixteen student designers have been working throughout the school year on runway- worthy garments, under the instruction of master pattern drafters Renee Thompson, and Margaret Uemeura. Each designer will be presenting a clothing line with 4 - 6 outfits, with student models walking the runway.

The event will conclude with a reception allowing guests to meet the designers and see the garments on models up close. Also included in the event is a silent auction for one of our Arcata CSA shares. This share includes artwork by 10+ artists, such as John Wesa, Joyce Jonte, and Lush Newton, delivered to your door in 3 deliveries. For more info about what Arcata CSA is go to:
