What better way to kick-start the new year than by going on a First Day hike/paddle on Saturday January 1st, 2022! State Parks across the north coast are once again participating in this national-led effort encouraging individuals and families to experience the outdoors on the first day of the new year. Guided hikes and paddles will be held in parks across Humboldt and Del Norte counties: Humboldt Redwoods SP, Humboldt Lagoons SP, Prairie Creek Redwoods SP, Jedediah Smith Redwoods SP, and Tolowa Dunes SP.
