Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Eyes Of Stone And Water: Perspectives On Cuba

When: Tue., June 27, 6-9 p.m. 2017
Price: free
BPBS Arts and Media Presents... Eyes of Stone and Water: Perspectives on Cuba In 2015, Ethnologists Oryan Peterson-Jones and Andrew Pritchard traveled from Havana to Santiago de Cuba, hoping to return with stories about the island's rich musical history and reactions to the recent evolution of political relations. Through encounters and interviews with professors of music and Santeria priests, they indeed found their story... Though it was far more epic than first imagined. Join us Tuesday, June 27th at the Sanctuary for dinner (Taco Tuesdays!!!) followed by a presentation of photography, field recordings, a short film and lecture.
