Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
The Eureka Symphony presents its Spring Concert featuring 2014 Youth Competition winner Gad "Zar" Raganas playing Haydn’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D major. Additional works include Alexander Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Johannes Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5, and Ralph Ford’s Video Games Live. The story of Tubby the Tuba introduces the individual instruments of the orchestra, including the oft-neglected tuba. Popular actor Donald Forrest returns to narrate. A free Music Talk at 7 p.m. by HSU Music Professor Daniela Mineva and HSU Music Department Accompanist John Chernoff precedes each concert.
