Explore North Coast and the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center as co-sponsors invites the public to their Lecture Series featuring Troy Nicolini. Troy is the Meteorologist in Charge of the National Weather Service office on Woodley Island. Troy will provide an intuitive overview of ocean wave basics that will help kayakers, boaters, and surfers to use buoy and forecast information to make decisions. Topics will include the wind wave formation process, how waves travel and change, and how they interact with the coast. The impact of waves on boats will also be covered.
