Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society on a trip to look for seabirds at Elk Head in Trinidad. Participants will search the rocky shoreline for shorebirds, and the offshore rocks for nesting seabirds such as murres and puffins. Group members also will attempt to identify the land birds and flowering plants encountered along the trail to the bluffs. Bring spotting scopes if you have them. Meet leader Gary Lester at the Elk Head parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
