Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Volunteer divers will join professional fish counters to estimate the number of fall Chinook salmon hanging in the lower Eel River. This is the second year of the Eel River Recovery Project dive counts with 20,000-50,000 fall Chinook estimated in 2012. You need to be an excellent swimmer and not mind cold water. Wetsuits are available on request. Check in before attending.
