If New England had Emerson and Thoreau, and the Sierra had John Muir, then the fabled Klamath-Siskiyou Mountains have David Rains Wallace, the revered chronicler of the majesty and mystery of North Coast wildlands. The celebrated author, who turned 70 this year, is best known for his seminal 1983 book, The Klamath Knot, which received the prestigious John Burroughs Medal for Nature Writing and the Commonwealth Club of California Silver Medal for Literature. Wallace will read from his works and be interviewed by North Coast writer and activist Greg King. Tickets available at the door and at Wildberries.
