Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

The Redwood Coast chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers is hosting a Cupcakes for Conservation fundraiser for Valentine’s Day. Each organic, Texas-sized cupcake is $10 and comes with an edible fondant animal (flamingo or honey bee), a card, and a photo. ALL proceeds are donated to conservation organizations: the Andean Flamingos Conservation Group or the Honeybee Conservancy. We offer many cupcake options (including vegan and gluten-free) with free delivery from McKinleyville to Fortuna on February 12 or 14. Order by February 11, or pick up first-come, first-served cupcakes at the Sequoia Park Zoo on February 14 from 10am-5pm.
