Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

The final lecture in the three-part Conserved Lands and Waters of the Lost Coast series will feature Priscilla Hunter & Hawk Rosales of the InterTribal Sinkyone Wilderness Council and a talk on Tribal Protected Areas of the Lost Coast. They will reflect upon the impacts of the Sinkyone Tribal land movement, initiated nearly 40 years ago to halt cutting of the Lost Coast’s last old growth redwoods—a remarkable journey that has resulted in the establishment of nearly 5000 acres of Tribal Protected Areas along the Lost Coast, and contributed significantly to the healing of nature and people.
