Community Choice Energy Program Open House

Community choice Aggregation (CCA), also known as Community Choice Energy, is mechanism that allows local governments to purchase electricity on behalf of the customers within their boundaries while the existing utility continues to provide transmission, distribution, billing, and other related customer service functions. The Redwood Coast Energy Authority is working toward launching a Community Choice program for Humboldt County, with the goal of supporting increased use of local renewable energy while also lowering customers’ electricity bills.
