Re: “When the Waters Rose

This brings back such incredible memories of the 64 Flood. At the time my family and I lived in Rio Dell. My father, Dr. Kurt Munchheimer, was a medical doctor. He made house calls, following the flood, to Ferndale, over the Blue Slide Road. He was also flown by helicopter, so that he could make house calls south of Dyerville. I accompanied my father on some of his house calls, and I still have a vivid memory of the hundreds of dead, bloated, cows all over the field in Ferndale. Of course I will never forget all the remains of buildings torn off their foundations and lives forever altered. Thank you so much for this great coverage!
