Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Cantrip Staff Pick

When: Sat., April 2, 8:30 p.m. 2022
Price: $10 donation at door
Cantrip is an Old Scots word meaning a charm, magic spell, or piece of mischief , which aptly describes the unexpected twists and turns in the trio's musical arrangements. Swirling border pipes, raging fiddle, thunderous guitar, and 3 rich voices blend to create a sound energetic enough to tear the roof off. The band formed over 20 years ago among friends in the booming Edinburgh session scene. Dan Houghton ( pipes ), Jon Bews ( fiddle ) , and Eric McDonald ( guitar ) stir the elements in a witches' cauldron, slowly coalescing into chaotic order. Cantrip will appear at North of Fourth , 207 3rd St. Eureka on Saturday April 2nd at 830pm. $10 suggested donation at the door. For more info check out cantrip-music.com
