Calling all Nature Newbies! Friends of the Dunes is hosting a Camping Gear 101 Workshop designed for the camping curious. If you are interested in getting outside to enjoy nature overnight but aren’t sure where to start, this workshop is for you. Our friendly and experienced volunteers will introduce a range of camping gear from backpacking basics to glamping gadgets. Topics will include tent set-up, operating a camp stove, building a campfire, cooking outdoors, backpacking for beginners, and more.
